Which sources do AI assistants cite about buyers agents in Sydney?

Reddit first, then a US property portal. ChatGPT cites Reddit threads more than any other source on Sydney buyers agent questions, with Zillow, which doesn't operate in Australia, in second place.

Measured 2026-08-26

Across 110 recommendation and buying-journey prompts about buyers agents in Sydney, these are the sources each AI engine cited most in its answers. A citation is a source the engine actually linked in a response, which makes this list a map of who each engine trusts in this category right now.

Sample: 110 prompts, responses collected 2026-08-26 to 2026-08-26 (110 from ChatGPT). 22 prompts naming a specific business were excluded from citation counts, per the TOP Score rules. Percentages are the share of that engine's responses containing at least one citation of the domain.

This category's first collection covered ChatGPT. Perplexity and Google AI Overviews are collected on the next pass and will be added to this page with their own date stamp, per the method. Engines are never averaged together on this site.

What the data says

A category where the most trusted source is a forum and the second is a portal from the wrong country is a category nobody has claimed. Buyers agents sell judgement and access, both hard to verify, which is exactly why buyers go to Reddit to ask who's real. The agencies that publish transparent fee structures, process explanations and honest market commentary give the engines something better to cite than a thread of strangers.

How to read this page

  • 1Citations are not mentions. This page measures which sources the engines link when they answer, not which businesses they name. Who gets named is the TOP Score, and it's measured separately.
  • 2Engines disagree, so we never pool them. Each engine is reported on its own row because an average hides a total absence on the engine your buyers actually use.
  • 3This is a measurement with a date on it. Models and retrieval change; a source moving between collections has not necessarily done anything. The method, cadence and limits are on the standard page.
